Narelle is InSync’s proud owner and director and very reputable Pilates Practitioner. She was an APMA accredited course provider and national examiner for many years, demonstrating her strong standing and reputation in the industry. Narelle comes from an elite dance background, studying at the Australian Ballet School prior to accepting a 4-year scholarship in Monte Carlo at age 17. Upon returning to Australia she danced with the West Australian Ballet and the Australian Ballet Company.

Sadly, injury curtailed her dancing career, but serendipitously introduced her to Pilates. Narelle’s dance background equipped her with a deep understanding of muscle control and training practices, which contributed significantly to her success in her new vocation as a Pilates Instructor. Narelle assisted with the development and management of numerous Pilates studios in Sydney while working as a mentor and trainer. Narelle returned to her home town of Melbourne in 2003, became one of the directors of InSync and then eventually became the sole owner and director of the practice.

Narelle is an active member of the InSync dance team and invests many hours in the training and on-boarding of all dance physiotherapists and Pilates Instructors. Her special interests include exercise rehabilitation and biomechanical retraining for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, all dance related clients and services and the health and wellbeing of young dancers.

Throughout her career in the Allied Health industry Narelle has worked with dancers from the Australian Ballet Company, Australian Ballet School, Victorian College of the Arts and many wonderful ballet students throughout Victoria and Sydney. Narelle is regularly approached to present at international, national and local dance conferences and workshops, including the 2020 and 2022 Royal Academy of Dance Conference. These opportunities also create the perfect environment for Narelle to learn about new research, discoveries and strategies in dance education and training techniques that can be integrated into the InSync dance team's daily practice.

Narelle and her team thoroughly enjoy conducting dance workshops for dance schools in Melbourne and regional Victoria which offer a suite of modules and topics as well as customising workshops to the needs of the dance schools where needed.

Outside of InSync, Narelle is involved in a number of business and leadership groups and consults to new physiotherapy and Pilates businesses. Her drive and passion to educate and empower her clients to take ownership of their bodies, get fit and live healthy lives is evident in her successful business.
