ENROLMENT QUESTIONS

HOW DO I ENROL?
Once you have been in contact with our Director or Studio Manager and determined what classes suit your needs, you can head to our website and click the ‘Enrol Here’ button. Follow the prompts, select Vermont or Kew studio and select your class times.

CAN MY CHILD ATTEND A FREE TRIAL LESSON?
Yes, of course! You can contact our Director or Studio Manager vis email as well as through our website. We will then allocate the appropriate trial time for your child.

WHAT DOES MY CHILD WEAR TO A TRIAL LESSON?
If your child has no ballet attire, they may trial in comfortable clothing and bare feet. Ballet bun is expected.

CAN I DROP/SWAP CLASSES AFTER I HAVE ENROLED?
Yes, you can, although we would prefer not to make too many changes throughout the year. Term 1 is considered the time to sort your class schedule out.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE TIMETABLE?
You can find the timetable in our studio waiting area or via our website.

HOW DO I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE TRANSITIONS & HALF DAY PROGRAM?
Please view our program information via our website under the ‘Programs’ tab.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT CLASSES TO ENROL INTO?
If unsure, please contact us to provide you with further help. An age guide can be found on our website in the ‘Timetable’ tab.

DOES MY CHILD HAVE TO DO THE REQUIRED AMOUNT OF BALLET CLASSES?
Yes, at En Pointe School of Ballet we like to ensure students receive the maximum amount of attention and detailed training as possible. Each level has specific guidelines that we must adhere to, this will then provide them with the training platform they need to flourish.


FEE QUESTIONS

CAN I GET A REFUND?
No, unfortunately, we do not offer refunds. Classes are booked for a minimum enrolment time of one term, regardless of participation. Advance notice on extended holiday’s we can consider removing from your invoice. This does not include weekends away.

CAN I GET A CREDIT OR DO A MAKE-UP CLASS?
No, unfortunately, fees are non-transferable to another class, sibling or friend. We do offer make-up lessons if a student has missed a class. Please contact us via email on which day and class your child would like to make-up on.


CLASS QUESTIONS

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO CLASS?
Students need to bring a water bottle, sweat towel (optional) and extra footwear (Pointe shoes), skirts or tutus if applicable to your child.

WHAT CAN’T I BRING TO CLASS?
Mobile phones and other belongings, food and drinks other than water.

CAN I GO INTO THE STUDIO WITH MY CHILD TO WATCH CLASS?
Baby Ballet parents may sit in on their child’s class for their first week. Other than baby ballet classes studio access is restricted to STUDENTS ONLY. Parents, siblings, friends are NOT permitted in the studio. There are viewing windows provided for parents, siblings and friends. These are generally closed for important rehearsals, concert choreography and preparation.

WHAT TIME DO I ARRIVE FOR CLASS?

Students must arrive 15mins before their scheduled class time. Parents can be on site 5 minutes to the conclusion of their child’s class time for safe pick-up. Please note that we do not offer a babysitting service for your child, therefore we are not responsible for looking after your child before OR after their class time.

WHERE DO I PARK?
Parents may park in the carpark behind the studio (Vermont). Please be sure that you enter via CANTERBURY RD and exit onto MITCHAM RD.
There is free parallel street parking available for our Kew Studio parents.

HOW CAN I RECEIVE INFORMATION ON MY CHILD’S PROGRESS?
En Pointe School of Ballet provides comprehensive feedback via our Internal Examinations. These are scheduled Mid-Year, students receive a report along with a certificate outlining the mark attained in their examination. Parents may also contact us via email, we will do our best to get back to you with as much feedback as possible.

WHEN CAN I SPEAK WITH TEACHERS REGARDING MY CHILD’S PROGRESS?
Unfortunately, teachers are unable to communicate with parents before, during or after class due to our schedule being run back to back. Please direct all questions to our Studio Managers email enpointecoordinator@icloud.com

HOW CAN I CONTACT THE TEACHERS AND STAFF?
Through our provided emails. It isn’t appropriate to contact staff via social media and or private contact information.


UNIFORM QUESTIONS

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THE UNIFORM?
You can purchase our uniform via all BLOCH stores. Upstage Dancewear (Vermont students). Uniform requirements can be found via our website.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PURCHASE THE UNIFORM, IS IT COMPULSORY?
Yes, the uniform is compulsory. Ideally, the uniform should be organised within the first week if not the week before Term 1 commences.
