Scarlett began her classical ballet training in Ballarat at the Dance School of Distinction

Learning from ex-professional ballet dancers Mary Renouf and Adrian Fryer

 
Scarlett pursued classical ballet seriously for 10 years and competed in many reputable competitions such as the Alana Haines Australasian Award (New Zealand), the Sydney Eisteddfod Robert & Elizabeth Albert Championship, and Royal South Street Ballarat where she was awarded winner of the Courier Classical Cup in 2018.  

Following her passion for contemporary dance she joined SCIMM Dance Company in 2021. Scarlett is now going into her 3rd year as a professional company member, and enjoys the combination of strength, technique, and artistic freedom that it offers her. Working with choreographers such as Tim Barnes, Scott Pokorny and Sarah Boulter, Scarlett loves that she can express her creativity while dancing and enjoys passing that knowledge down to her students.
